How it all began:
An unexpected start
Juliane's journey into the fashion world began in 1997 in a small village in Thuringia. At the age of just 12, she was spontaneously scouted by the agency Most Wanted Models in front of her parents' house. What started as a shy casting for the FC Bayern fan catalog led directly to a job alongside football stars like Lothar Matthäus – the starting point for a modeling career spanning over 25 years and taking place worldwide.
Back then, there was neither social media nor formats like Germany's Next Top Model – starting out was a real leap into the unknown. Without any support structures, Juliane had to juggle school, her business studies, and international bookings herself. She decided to pursue Plan A (modeling) and Plan B (studies) simultaneously.
During semester breaks, she traveled to Athens, Milan, Paris, and Cape Town for major brands like NIVEA, AXE, and ELLE. Her studies gave her the necessary mental independence and grounding in an industry full of pressure and strict body measurements.

Sometimes you travel across three continents in two weeks. But alongside the glamour, there were also downsides: cutthroat competition, lonely model apartments, and enormous pressure. What I needed back then was a helping hand.

Based on this realization, Juliane began working as a scout herself over 20 years ago. The vision for her own institute became a reality during the Corona pandemic, when many models found themselves in exceptional mental situations. Together with her mother agency, she developed initial coaching formats – first for mental stabilization, then for holistic training.
Today, it has become a unique, sustainable training system across Europe. The Modelinstitute is a safe haven that not only scouts talent but also comprehensively prepares it for the realities of the industry.

Three days spent at The Modelinstitute – countless experiences gained: Although our weekend was packed with activities, I never felt stressed or overwhelmed. Quite the opposite. I learned so much from each coach and gained insights into the modeling world that one would otherwise have to work in the industry for years to acquire. And not only that: I was able to immediately apply my newly acquired knowledge during polaroid and portfolio shoots, as well as my first job castings. For me, this was a unique opportunity that one simply must seize, especially at the beginning of a modeling career!

I came to the course as a complete beginner with virtually no experience in this field. Over the three days, I learned absolutely everything I needed to get started. You not only get to know the different areas, but you also meet the other participants in the course, who are at very different stages of their journey and whose tips and support were an enormous help to me.
